Pennies for Patients Kick-Off
Submitted by Linda Lospinoso Lampert
During the month of February, students at Franklin Elementary School in Rahway brought in their loose change to help raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. They recently held a kick-off assembly for the annual “Pennies for Patients” fundraiser. Students learned about what they are raising money for and heard about how their fundraising efforts impact the lives of others. Each year, the school does a great job and raises about $2,000 to help with this great cause. Pictured here are Blue and Gold Club members, which is a volunteer-based community service club. They are pictured with Kerry Richardson, Campaign Manager, Student Series from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
