GI GO FUND Fundraiser

Franklin Elementary School in Rahway, New Jersey participated in a Jeans for Troops fundraiser in honor of Veterans Day in 2021. The project was run by students, Ericka Roberts and Malakhi Clermont. They are members of the school’s Blue and Gold Club, which is a school-based club made up of students that volunteer their time throughout the year to help with different community service activities.
Faculty and staff members donated money and in exchange, were allowed to wear jeans to work. The school collected $101, which was donated to the GI GO Fund, a non-profit organization that assists veterans with their return home.
