Multicultural night held at Franklin Elementary School
Franklin Elementary School in Rahway held a multicultural night for their students, staff, and families on Friday, April 5, 2019. Students participated in an ethnic fashion show and also performed cultural dances. The students were excited that Raymond A. Giacobbe, Rahway’s mayor attended in support of this event.
Guests enjoyed cultural food tasting many wonderful dishes that were donated by families, staff, and local businesses, and a vendor fair, which had a variety of items for purchase.
The school would like to recognize and give a huge thank you to La Malinche Mexican Restaurant, Melao Cafe & Creamery, Hugo’s Peruvian Restaurant, and Sinai Bakery in Rahway, Chevy’s Restaurant in Linden, as well as Pinho’s Bakery in Roselle for all of their delicious donations and time that they put in to help make this event so successful. It’s businesses like these that help make our community so awesome.
