Fanwood Seniors Indoor Picnic

Borough of Fanwood

Most of Fanwood’s government and departments turned out on Monday June 14 to welcome our seniors to an indoor picnic, a first gathering of our Seniors Club in almost 15 months and another sign of post-pandemic normalcy.

All senior residents of Fanwood were invited to the Forest Road Park recreation building for a sumptuous buffet sponsored by the Borough and served by members of the police department, library and municipal court. Also supporting the event were the Department of Public Works, Borough Councilwoman and Senior Liaison Kathy Mitchell, Senior Program Coordinator Dianne Howarth, Union County Detective Sergeant Nick Falcicchio, Borough Registrar Colleen Huehn and Borough Engineer Antonios Panagopoulos.

Fanwood offers various services to senior citizens, coordinated by Dianne Howarth. More information and Dianne’s contact info can be found at https://www.fanwoodnj.org/departments/seniors.
