Fanwood Performance Series
Regional favorites the Bryan Hansen Band will help kick off the fall season of the Fanwood Performance Series on Saturday night, September 10.
Singer-songwriter-guitarist Patrick Collins will share the bill at the Patricia M. Kuran Cultural Arts Center, also known as the Old Carriage House, on Watson Road alongside Fanwood Borough Hall.
The Bryan Hansen Band, based in Central New Jersey, will bring their original blend of funk, rock soul and R&B, influenced by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer and Al Green. Their most recent album is “Gas Money,” released in late 2019, and they have begun recording their fifth LP – so they have some new tunes to share.
Patrick Collins, based in the Hudson Valley of New York, plays with a home grown, self-taught fingerpicking and blues style. In his songs, touching on everyday American life, feelings are laid bare and humor prevails.
Two more shows are planned this fall: October 8, with singer-songwriters Kate Klim and Andrew Delaney; and November 12, featuring the Afro-Peruvian jazz sounds of Forbidden Tropics, also based in Central New Jersey, and troubadour Matt Bednarsky.
All shows start at 7 p.m. The suggested donation for admission is $15, or $10 for students and seniors, cash at the door. Light refreshments are available for purchase at intermission. Proceeds help support the all-volunteer, non-profit concert series.

The series is a presentation of Mayor Colleen Mahr and the Fanwood Arts Council, made possible in part by a HEART (History, Education, Arts Reaching Thousands) grant from the Union County Board of County Commissioners.
