Crafty Readers Story Time

October 5, 12, 19, 26; From 10:30 am – 11:30 am or 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm 

Ages 3-6 Read stories, sing songs, complete a craft. This story time takes place inside and space is limited, so please register each week. Remember, we’ve moved to the Historic Train Station.

Annular Solar Eclipse

October 14 @ 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm

In Fanwood the maximum coverage of the sun will be 20.6% between 12:15 and 2:00pm . We have safe solar eclipse viewing glasses for library patrons to use at the library at this time. We also will have them available for 2024 Total Eclipse!

Music & Movement Story Time

October 16, 23, 30 @ 10:30 am – 11:30 am 

Ages 0-3 with a caregiver. Join us for stories, songs, rhymes and movement. Please bring a blanket or yoga mat to sit on. We will meet on the main lawn in front of the Historic Train Station, weather permitting.

Creating With Clay –Make A Leaf Keeper

October 16 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Create pottery from start to finish! Unleash your creativity and have fun! A relaxing class and a beautiful project! No experience needed! MAKE A LEAF SHAPED CANDY DISH FOR THE FALL! This program is supported by the Friends of the Fanwood Memorial Library.

Classics Book Club

October 19 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Revisit a favorite or discover a classic that you’ve never read. The club will meet at the library once a month on Thursday evenings. The year’s book choices will be shared prior to the first meeting so that you can read on your own schedule. Tea and classic snacks will be served.
