Fanwood Memorial Library 35th Anniversary

Borough of Fanwood

The 35th anniversary of the Friends of the Fanwood Memorial Library was celebrated with a lawn event outside the library on Sunday, June 6, featuring live music, a book sale, face painting and trivia. It was a hot day, but there was enough shade and a breeze to keep things comfortable.

The Friends are the chief fundraiser for the library, which depends on both donations and taxpayer dollars for its operations.

Friends founder and president Carol Campbell and Library Director Dan Weiss were on hand, along with Mayor Colleen Mahr and County Commissioner Al Mirabella.

The event occurred on the eve of the reopening of the library to the public, Monday, June 7, after more than 14 months of curbside operation due to the pandemic. Operating hours and other information can be found at fanwoodlibrary.org.
