Fanwood Borough Service Flag Honoree
The Borough of Fanwood continues to honor local service families by presenting them with the Service Flag, which they display in the windows of their homes. The October 2019 Flags have been awarded to Irasel Bueno, and her partner Oshanda Erbawarding, who are active in the Air Force.
The two live in Fanwood and have twin boys. Oshanda most recently was involved in the Hometown Heroes banner project but volunteers hundreds of hours in many other pursuits related to her military service. Ms. Bueno was on hand to accept the Service Flag from Mayor Mahr on September 16, 2019.
