Fanwood Holiday Tree Lighting

Submitted by Fanwood Councilman Tom Kranz

Fanwood’s annual Santa arrival and Christmas tree lighting was held on  Sunday, December 2, 2018. It brought out many of our families to get photos with Santa, enjoy cookies, crafts and a serenade by the fabulous Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School Chorus. Mayor Colleen Mahr lit the tree with the assistance of Santa Claus, and Susan Schuman led the crowd in a celebration of the first night of Hanukkah. The Fanwood Recreation and Public Works Departments worked hard to get the tent up and make this event happen once again. Thanks to all of our volunteers who assisted at the North Avenue lawn of our historic train station.
