Fall Reading Program at the Kenilworth Public Library

Registration for the Fall Reading Program at the Kenilworth Public Library begins Monday, September 11. The reading club begins on Monday, September 25th and concludes on Friday, November 10. Registration is required for all library programs.

Mommy, Daddy & Me,
a parent and child at-home reading program for children ages 2 to 5.

I Can Read,
a reading program for children who are just starting to read on their own from ages 6 to 8.

Club Readsalot,
a reading program for children ages 9 to 12.

Lap Sit
for ages 0 to 23 months will be held on the following Tuesdays from 10:30 to 10:50 am: September 26; October 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31; and November 7.

Movies At The Library
will be held on Tuesdays from   3:30-4:30 p.m. for children ages 4-12 years old. This program will be held each Tuesday beginning September 26 and continue through Tuesday, November 7.

Toddler Time
for 2 year olds will be held on the following Wednesdays from 10:30 to 10:50 am: September 28; October 4, 11, 18 & 25; and November 1 & 8. Stories, puppets and music just right for young listeners will be introduced.

The Good Tymes String Band
will entertain children ages 2 and up and their families on Wednesday, October 25th during Toddler Time. Children are invited to wear their Halloween costume to this event.

Technology At The Library
will be held on Wednesdays from  3:30 – 4:30pm beginning

September 27 through November 8 for ages 9 – 17 years old.
Explore technology and Maker Culture including 3-D printing, Arduino projects and more!  Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate.

 PJ Story Time
for children ages 3 and up will be held on the following Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:00 pm: September 28, October 5, 12, 19 & 26 and November 2 & 9. Children are invited to wear their pajamas to this program, and bring along a stuffed animal, too.

Lego At The Library
will be held on the following Fridays from   3:30-4:00 p.m. for children ages 4-12 years old: September 29, October 13 & 27 and November 10. Children ages 4-9 years old must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate. Children will have an opportunity to build their own creative project based on a weekly theme.  Lego at the Library is made possible through a grant from the Walmart Local Giving program.

Bingo for Young Children ages 3 & up will be held on the following Fridays from 3:30 to 4:00pm for children ages 3 and up:  October 6 and November 3. Games may include A-B-C Bingo, Number Bingo and Color & Shape Bingo. Parents must remain in the library during the program.

Bingo for Children Who Can Read will be held on the following Friday from 3:30 to 4:00pm in the Activity Room: October 20. Games may include USA Bingo, History Bingo and Kenilworth Bingo. Parents do not participate in this program.
