Registration is open for all Fall Programs at the Westfield Recreation Department. Adults are encouraged to get out of the house this fall beginning with our Tai Chi program on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. and by joining the “party” with our Zumba Fitness Class on Mondays at 7:30 p.m. Come out and join in on the fun.
The department also offers Adult Tennis for beginners and intermediate levels on Sundays starting the end of September. Back by popular demand is Pickleball on Tuesday mornings in October from 10 – 11:30 a.m. The department also offers year-round Senior Transportation for medical and shopping for senior residents. A variety of After School Enrichment programs for school age include: Sewing & Fashion Design, Jr Scientists Lab, Jr. Bakers Workshops, Dining Etiquette, Social Etiquette and NEW Cartooning class! Cartooning will be for ages 6 – 12 on Tuesdays 4 – 5 p.m. There is a variety for everyone to choose from. Classes are scheduled to start around the end of September and beginning of October.
Kids can “Be Active” this fall with Tennis, Fencing, and a variety of Fall Camps, as well as our weekly United Soccer Academy Soccer classes and weekly USSI Multi-Sports classes. Weekly Sport classes and enrichments such as Soccer, Flag Football, T-Ball, Lacrosse, Multi-Sports are offered for ages 2-7. Our Preschool classes include: Pre-School Jr. Scientists ages 3-5 Friday mornings at 11 a.m. and NEW this Fall a Young Rembrandt Drawing class for ages 3-5 Wednesdays at 10-10:45 a.m. We also offer our Preschool Sport Classes. Don’t forget to sign up for Fall Soccer Camps when kids are out of school! Our USA Instructors are hosting mini-camps for ages 5 to 14 on the following dates: September 10 & 11, 19, October 8 and November 8 & 9. There is a soccer camp for everyone!
