Deshawne Bunion signed his National Letter of Intent accepting a full-athletic scholarship to Long Island University-Brooklyn. Deshawne chose the LIU Blackbirds over North Carolina A&T, Hampton University, Morgan State University, Coastal Carolina University, and Arkansas Pine Bluff. Deshawne is the 12th track athlete from Rahway to sign to a division one program in the last 10 years. Deshawne, an All-State and All-American athlete, holds school records in the indoor 400m and 600m.
