DeCorso Center Now Open

Borough of New Providence

The New Providence DeCorso Center is now OPEN! A Grand Re-Opening event was held Thursday, April 28th, at the DeCorso Center, located at 15 E 4th Street in New Providence. The event began with a ribbon cutting by Mayor Al Morgan, with members of the Borough Council, Assemblywoman Michele Matsikoudis, the center’s staff members and guests. The event then included tours of the newly renovated facilities, festivities, free giveaways and refreshments. It was very well attended.

Mayor Al Morgan welcomed the community back to the center and shared: “It is so exciting to be back here at the DeCorso Center. The place looks great! It also feels great to be together again. We look forward to all the wonderful events and activities that can now resume and be held at this community gathering center. Thank you to our steadfast Borough Council, our New Providence Recreation Department Director Allison Smith, Director of the DeCorso Center Michelle Zack, our Community Activities staff, and Keith Lynch our Construction Official for their hard work restoring our center after all the damage from Hurricane Ida, and thank you to all our volunteers and attendees for participating in today’s Grand Re-Opening event.”
