DAR “Beekeeping” Program – October 5th
“Honeybees are the Rock Stars of the plant world. They pollinate 80% of our crops and ultimately account for one-third of the food we eat.” (Better Homes and Gardens 8/19)
Cranford resident, Tage Haun tells us about his fascinating hobby of beekeeping in Cranford. He’ll relate how and why he got started and the many rewards. With alarming decline of bee colonies for decades, he’s answering the honeybee’s call for help. This program is very timely. Mr. Haun has spoken to Cranford’s Green Thumb Garden Club, College Women’s Club and others. The public is invited October 5th, 2019, 1 p.m. at the Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Ave. Refreshments will be served. Children are welcome, accompanied by an adult.
