Cub Scouts from Pack 182, Den 9 visit the Mt. Horeb Fire Company

Submitted by: Tricia Patricco

Last month Cub Scouts from Pack 182, Den 9, Warren Bears enjoyed a great visit to the Mt. Horeb Fire Company, Warren, New Jersey, led by Asst. Fire Chief and Elks officer Dave Dante. The kids worked on their “Baloo the Builder” and “Paws for Action” requirements, making some special artwork to show gratitude to our volunteer firefighters, as well as getting a hands-on tour of the station and a firetruck from Mr. Dante. The Scouts learned about fire safety, how the fire company volunteers serve our community and what we can do to support them.
About half declared they would sign-up as new Junior Firefighters in Warren when they turned 16.
Scouts in attendance: Marcello Gioia, Joseph Guerra, Tyler Kachtan, Ryan Kim, Joseph Miller, Gideon Minieri, Wilson Parry, Bernie Ryder, Mateusz Teepe, and Kayden Thursfield-Ritchie.
Stay tuned, you may see these faces helping around the fire departments in several years!
