CRANFORD PUBLIC LIBRARY EVENTS

After a break for the summer, the Cranford Public Library’s Books & Bagels program will resume on Saturday, September 10, at 10:15 a.m., but with a new name, the Literary Café. Refreshments will still be served, courtesy of the Friends of the Cranford Library, but with a slight change in menu. Sessions take place in the Raddin Room. The program format is simple. Just bring a few of your favorite books and tell the other members of the group what you like about them. The books can be new or old, fiction or non-fiction, classic or contemporary. Sessions are one hour long. There is no required reading, and you will have the opportunity to learn about books recommended by other group members. Registration is not required. For questions about Literary Café, contact program coordinator Sally Hanford at 908-709-7272, ext. 2104, or at shanford@ cranfordnj.org.
The Friends of the Cranford Public Library are very pleased to sponsor an evening of country music featuring Acoustic Soul on Monday, September 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the Cranford Community Center. The Cranford Community Center is located at 220 Walnut Avenue. Acoustic Soul are Joanne Clendining on guitar and vocals and Geno Samero on guitar and vocals. Admission is free and all are welcome.
