Cranford Library’s Garden State Equality Workshop

Submitted by Kate-Lynn Brown

On January 24, 2019, the Cranford Public Library held a workshop through Garden State Equality, the state’s largest LGBT advocacy group, called “Creating Safe and Affirming Communities for Transgender Youth.” GSE also brought with them two representatives from the State of New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety Division on Civil Rights. The program was well-attended and community feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Special thanks goes to the Library board, as well as the Cranford Community Center for hosting this event.
