Cranford Knights Donation to the Ulaky Family

Submitted by John Dolan

After hearing about Cranford resident Jim Ulaky and his unfortunate accident, the Cranford Knights of Columbus wanted to help Jim and his family during this challenging time. After a two-year postponement due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the Council was able to hold our annual St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Dance at St. Michael’s School gym on March 26th. Our dance was a tremendous success with close to 300 guests attending.

Every year, the Council donates to a worthy charity from the proceeds of this worthy event, and this year we had an easy choice. The Cranford Council voted to donate the entire dance proceeds of $7,000 to Jim and his family working closely with Julie Carroll and Cranford Family Care who we have had a very close relationship with for many years.

The Cranford Council would like to thank everyone who attended and supported our Dinner Dance enabling us to help this nice Cranford family. We also like to thank and recognize all our Brother Knights and their families who worked extremely hard behind the scenes to support and make our 2022 Dance a successful and memorable event and fundraiser.

The Cranford Knights of Columbus is a Catholic Fraternal Organization dedicated to our four Core Principles: Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. The Cranford Council supports many charities and civic causes locally, state-wide, and nationally and we are committed to being a viable part of our community. For information about joining the Cranford Council, please contact our Grand Knight Jerry Conheeney at 908-416-3464 or visit the Council website at cranfordknights.org.
