Girl Scouts Receive Bronze Award During Ceremony

Eight Girl Scouts from Central School’s 5th grade Troop 65-468 received their Bronze Award pins and certificates during a ceremony at the courthouse on March 26, 2019. The Bronze Award is the highest award that a Girl Scout Junior can receive in which each scout must work 20 hours on a project to make a positive change in the community. These scouts spent months researching and creating educational videos at local Warren historical landmarks which were used to teach students about colonial life and Warren’s importance during the Revolutionary War. The videos were shown at Central School during NJ History Day. Instrumental in the girls’ research was Mr. Rory Britt of the Warren Historical Society and troop leader Jeannine Sarosy.
