New Hire – Fire Fighter Samuel Scher
Samuel Scher has been a member of the Cranford Fire Department serving as an EMT and a volunteer Firefighter since 2018. Fire Fighter Scher is a 2014 graduate of Cranford High School. He went on to earn a bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences with a minor in Psychology from Seton Hall University.
Promotion – Fire Lieutenant Carmen Giordino
Fire Inspector Carmen Giordino was promoted to rank of Fire Lieutenant. Lieutenant Giordino began as a Cranford Fire Explorer. When he turned 18, he became a Call Firefighter for Cranford. While attending school and volunteering, Lieutenant Giordino also served his country as a Marine Reservist earning the rank of Corporal in the 3rd Battalion 14th Marine Regiment. While serving, he also obtained an associate’s degree in Fire Science.
