Countdown to ART in the Garden 2018

Submitted by Doreen Schindler

The clock is ticking, and tickets are selling for this year’s most eagerly anticipated garden party, ART in the Garden at Reeves-Reed Arboretum, 165 Hobart Avenue, Summit, New Jersey, Saturday, June 9, 2018, from 6 to 11 p.m. Join 300 of your neighbors, families, and friends under the canopy of trees. Sip our specialty cocktail, a blueberry vodka lemonade from Claremont Distillery and sample the finest fare David Ellis Events can offer while listening and dancing to Lenox Underground. This is just one short star away from a heavenly night.
A sneak preview of some of the extraordinary auction items available that night include house seats to some of the biggest hits currently on Broadway: “Frozen,” “Hamilton,” and “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.” How about a dream tropical vacation at a luxury villa in Hawaii, including round trip airfare on jetBlue? Ever want to have a brand-new cultivar rose named after you or a loved one? Well, at ART in the Garden, that will be possible! Live access and online bidding to all the wonderful selections available at our auction begins on June 4 at 501auctions.com/reevesreedarboretum2018. Bid often and bid high.
ART in the Garden traditionally celebrates the kick off for our season of visual and performing arts, with, this year, the installation of The Wild Horses of Sable Island, showcasing the extraordinary work of artist, photographer and environmentalist Roberto Dutesco. Dutesco portrays the wild beauty of these horses as well as the barren and unspoiled qualities of the island, creating a photographic memoir that captures both the soul and the spirit.
