Council Meeting Happenings From March 21st

(above) Scotch Plains Fanwood Scholarship Foundation president Mary Cappio, along with several members, thanks Fanwood Council after the group was honored on the occasion of it's 50th anniversary. The foundation awarded more than $2.7 million in scholarships to 2,741 students from Fanwood and Scotch Plains over the years. Cappio also reminded residents that the foundation's fund drive  is coming up the weekend of April 9- 10, when students will go door-to door in the borough and the township seeking donations.

Chief John Piccola, second from right, was honored by the Scotch Plains Volunteer Firefighters Association with the group's 2015 outstanding service award at a the March 21, 2016 Fanwood council meeting.
