Tai Chi Via Zoom on April 19

The College Club of Fanwood-Scotch Plains will host Christine Hoyer, a Tai Chi/Qigong practitioner and teacher, who will present an introduction to Tai Chi/Qigong philosophy and provide an opportunity for participants to sample some easy, gentle, guided movements. The program will take place on April 19 at 7:30 p.m. via zoom.

Christine, a native of Fanwood and a graduate of SP-F High School currently resides in TN. She is an avid practitioner and teacher of the arts of Tai Chi and Qigong and while she learned them from the martial aspects, she now focuses her own practice and her teaching on the meditative side. She describes it as “meditation in slow motion that allows you to move out of your head, into your body and connect you to your own breath and energy. This non-impact exercise offers many benefits including building strength, balance, flexibility and coordination. It is beneficial for your heart, breathing and immune function.”

Anyone interested in giving Tai Chi/Qigong a try can receive a link for the program by sending a request to tishisack17@gmail.com.
