The Build a Better World 2017 Summer Reading Program for all ages officially begins Monday, June 26!! Online pre-registration for the reading incentives will begin on Monday, June 19 to get a jump start on your reading!

LEGO® Club on Friday, June 9 at 3:15 pm
Join us for the LEGO® Club at the Clark Public Library! Create your own lego structures. Legos are provided by the library. Creations are displayed in the Children’s Area. For children in grades K – 5. No registration required.

Union County Division on Aging Services on Monday, June 12 from 10- Noon
Do you have a questions about services for seniors or their caregivers? The Union County Division on Aging will be at the Clark Public Library to answer them. Drop by anytime between 10am-12pm and get answers to your questions about: pharmaceutical assistance, home energy assistance, home care, home delivered or congregate meals, caregiver relief, medicaid, transportation, and other questions you may have.

Adult Book Club on Monday, June 12 at 7 pm
We will be discussing “The Children Act” by Ian McEwan. Fiona Maye is a High Court judge in London presiding over cases in family court. Facing problems at home she decides to throw herself into her work, especially a complex case involving a seventeen-year-old boy whose parents will not permit a lifesaving blood transfusion because it conflicts with their beliefs as Jehovah’s Witnesses. But the pressure to resolve the case, as well as her crumbling marriage, tests Fiona in ways that will keep readers enthralled until the last page. Afternoon Book Club on Tuesday, June 20 at 1 pm
This month we will be reading “Big Stone Gap” by Adriana Trigiani. Ave Maria reaches her thirty-fifth year and resigns herself to the single life, filling her days with hard work, fun friends, and good books. Then, one fateful day, Ave Maria’s past opens wide with the revelation of a long-buried secret that will alter the course of her life. Please speak with a librarian for information on obtaining a copy of the book.  Registration is not required.

Maker Monday on Monday, June 26 at 3 pm
Decorate your own Piggy Bank! For children entering grades K-5 in the fall.  Registration is required.

Pajama Time Story Time on Tuesday, June 27 at 7 pm
Come in your PJs for our evening family story time! Stories, songs, fingerplays and a simple craft for children ages 2 – 5 years old. Great for working parents and busy families.

Join us for our big Summer Reading Kick-Off event on Thursday, June 29 at 7 pm
Bring the whole family as we celebrate the kick-off of our 2017 Build a Better World Summer Reading Program.  Brian Richards will perform a 45 minute show filled with magic, comedy, juggling, storytelling, with audience participation! Readers and readers-to-be will discover that they can make the world a better place and the tools to do that can be found in the library!

Preschool Cityscape Art Collage on Thursday, June 29 at 10 am
Preschoolers are invited to help create a Cityscape Collage that will be on display in the Children’s area all summer long as part of our Build a Better World Summer Reading program.  Registration is required.  For children under the age of 5.

Fantasy City Art Project on Thursday, July 6 at 2 pm
Children ages 5 and up are invited to come and build a fantasy city.  We will display the fantasy cities in the library all summer long as part of our Build a Better World Summer Reading Program and children can pick up theair artwork later in the summer to keep.  Registration is required.

Grown-Up Coloring Club Meets Weekly on most Fridays – June 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 at 1:30 p.m.
Coloring isn’t just for kids anymore!  Join us for a relaxing afternoon of coloring for grown ups. Relieve some stress while stimulating your creativity!  No registration is required.

Teen Tech Help on most Tuesdays at 7:00 pm, Fridays at 3:30 pm, and Saturdays at 2:00 pm
Do you have a new phone or tablet and need help figuring it out?  The library now offers one-on-one assistance with a variety of technological issues. Sessions last one hour and may also focus on e-mail, e-books, Microsoft Office or other technology questions you might have. Advance registration is required, so please call the Reference Desk at 732 388 5999 to schedule an appointment.

Registration is required for programs listed above, unless noted otherwise. Additionally, free movies are shown at the library on Monday and Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.  Newly released DVDs are featured each Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. No registration is required for movies.
