The library will be closed on Wednesday, August 23 & August 30 for staff training.
It is time for our annual Summer Reading Challenge, All Together Now! All ages are encouraged to participate! Registration is open now. Register using the free Beanstack Tracker App (available in the App Store or Google Play) or online at clarklibrary.beanstack.org. Tickets are earned for reading in each program and then entered into drawings for a variety of prizes! All ages can keep reading and submitting tickets through Beanstack until August 31. Children earn raffle tickets for attending library events, too!
6 Word Book Review, All Month
Teens are invited to submit 6 Word Book Reviews for their finished summer reads. Love a book and want to share it? Think wisely about the 6 words you will use in your recommendation! Open to Grades 6-12.
(Hybrid) Baby Bookworms, Tuesday, August 1 & 8 at 10am
Babies and toddlers are invited to listen to some books, and learn some songs, rhymes, lap bounces, and fingerplays. 30 minutes of open play follows. Registration is requested. Virtual option is available.
Patches and Stitches on Tuesdays, August 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29 at 12pm – 2pm Bring your quilt or other crafty project and visit with the members of the quilting club.
STEM Club on Tuesday, August 1 at 3pm or 4pm
Have fun exploring, experimenting, designing, and creating with a new theme each session!

STEM You Can Wednesday, August 2 and Friday, August 4 at 11am
STEM You Can! is a nonprofit organization that provides free STEM summer camps and other programs for elementary and middle school kids (grade 4 to 6th grade) to spark their interest in science. Open to girls entering 4th – 6th grade. The students will be taught a specific topic each day, and then apply their knowledge by conducting experiments.
Krafty Kids Wednesdays, August 2 & 9 at 3pm
Join us as we make some fun and creative artwork! Don’t forget to bring your imagination and creativity! Registration is required. Geared for entering Kindergarten-5th grade.

All ages are welcome to drop by to choose from a full buffet of supplies and make whatever you want—just have fun!
TEEN-y Tiny Art Show. Pick up of materials begins Monday, August 7
We will be running a TEEN-y Tiny Art Show on August 28th and we are looking for Tweens and Teens to contribute to the show.Stop by the library to pick up a TEEN-y Tiny canvas. Canvases will be available starting on August 7th through August 19th, or while supplies last. Each canvas will include paint and a card for an artist’s statement. We are asking all contributing artists to create their work with the prompt “What I Love About My Community” in mind. Be creative and have fun making a piece of art for the library.Once displayed, each tiny canvas will have its own tiny easel and artist’s statement.
YoBoo for Kids on Monday, August 7 at 3:30pm or 4:00pm
YoBoo combines Yoga & Bootcamp, giving kids the ability to use their mind, body, and spirit in fast, slow, and freezing movements featuring music and stories for non-stop fun! For ages 3 and up.
Paint & Sip: Adult Summer Reading Finale on Monday, August 7 at 7pm
Celebrate with us as we wrap up our Adult Summer Reading Program: All Together Now! The Library will provide materials for you to paint your own personalized wine glass. While we paint, enjoy sipping on some delicious, non-alcoholic mocktails. Attendees must be signed up for the Adult Summer Reading Program to participate.
Indoor Campout – Teen Summer Reading Finale on Wednesday, August 9 from 2pm-4pm
Celebrate with us as we wrap up the teen summer reading program! We will have food, crafting, music, and games all with a campfire theme! Drop in anytime between 2 pm – 4 pm.

Resume and Cover Letter Workshop on Wednesday, August 16 at 11am
Learn the essential elements of a successful resume and cover letter. This workshop will include how to highlight your accomplishments and transferable skills in your resume, and what to include and what not to include in your cover letter. This workshop is made possible through the New Jersey State Library Labor & Literacy Library Program.
Kindness Rocks on Wednesday, August 16 at 2pm
Help us to paint rocks for our new Kindness Rock Garden or to leave around the community. Create beautiful painted rocks with an inspiring message to brighten someone’s day. Open to all ages.
Hot Glue Embroidery for Teens on Thursday, August 17 at 2pm
Calling all crafty teens! Join us on a journey using hot glue and embroidery to create a fun and unique shooting star wall hanging. Everyone will leave with the knowledge they need to finish a spectacular shooting star design in an embroidery hoop ready to display!
Finger Painting on Friday, August 18 at 10am
No childhood is complete without some good, old-fashioned, messy finger painting. We will read a story and then make some squishy, colorful creations. Wear some old clothes! Clark residents will have priority registration.
Teen Gaming Club on Monday, August 21 at 1pm
Drop by the library for a fun afternoon of gaming. Play some Nintendo Switch games on our big screen or bring your own device. Snacks will be served! Open to Grades 6-12.
Learning LinkedIn on Tuesday, August 22 at 7pm
Learn how to use LinkedIn to build a network of professional contacts, stay up to date on the industries and companies you are interested in, and to find a new job. This workshop is made possible through the New Jersey State Library Labor & Literacy Library Program.
