Clark Library November Events

Our doors have opened! Reduced hours are in effect, so please check our website or call before coming. The capacity will be reduced and we will be practicing social distancing. Masks will be required when in the building. We are still offering curbside pickup while open for in person visits. Our librarians are here to help with reference questions or book recommendations.

Please note our new hours:

Mondays 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Tuesdays 9:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Wednesdays 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Thursdays 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Fridays 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Saturdays 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The library closes its doors 15 minutes prior to closing. Hours are subject to change.

All items must be returned in the book drop and will be in quarantine for 7-10 days. The items stay on your card during this time. You will not be charged overdues for the time the items are quarantining.

The library will be closed on Wednesday, November 11 for Veterans Day. For the Thanksgiving holiday we will close at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25 and reopen on Saturday, November 28 at 9:30 a.m.

Events will be held virtually at this time via Zoom. Please register for any programs by emailing reference@clarklibrary.org and state which program you would like to attend and you will be sent a link to the meeting. You may also register through the online calendar on our website clarklibrary.org.

Monthly Boredom Buster for Kids

Each month we have a new take home craft for kids to pick up and make at their leisure. While supplies last.

Pick Up & Zoom on Tuesdays, November 3 and November 17 at 4:00 p.m.

Every other week we will have a new craft project. You can pick up the materials for the craft starting the Wednesday before and then join us via Zoom to make it together! Please register to be contacted for a pick up time and for the Zoom login information. This month will be fall sand art and Halloween crafts.

3D Print: Making a Pendant on Wednesday, November 4 at 4:00 p.m.

Learn about our 3D printer and design a pendant to make a necklace using the Thinkercad App. It is recommended to make a Tinkercad account ahead of time so you are able to follow the directions step by step. Your 3D printed pendant will be picked up after the program. Registration is limited. Please emailreference@clarklibrary.org to register. A Zoom meeting invite will be sent to all who register. Program is open to teens and adults.

Pajama Time on Wednesday, November 4 at 7:00 p.m.

Join us in your pjs for an evening storytime session for the family on Zoom. Please register to get the Zoom link.

Eastern State Penitentiary and Prisons Today on Thursday, November 5 at 3:00 p.m.

Eastern State’s history matters today more than ever. This in-depth virtual group tour explores the history of Eastern State and the experiences of men, women and children who lived and worked behind its walls. This program sets the stage for conversations about criminal justice reform today. Please register to receive the Zoom link, which will be emailed to you.

Virtual Adult Coloring Club on Fridays November 6, 13, and 20 at 1:00 p.m.

Coloring is a great way to unwind and relieve some stress! Pick up coloring sheets and crayons at the library and meet up on Zoom for some soothing music and relaxation. Once you register, you’ll be emailed when your supplies are ready to be picked up at the library.

Maker Monday for Kids on Monday, November 9 at 4:00 p.m.

At each session we do activities such as a craft or STEM activity via Zoom. Everyone who registers will be emailed a list of the items we will use in advance along with the link to join the meeting. Some supplies may be provided by the library. Intended for elementary aged children. This month we will make Walking Feet!

Evening Book Club on Monday, November 9 at 7:00 p.m.

Join us for our next virtual book club meeting. We’ll be reading My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult. Conceived to provide a bone marrow match for her leukemia-stricken sister, teenage Kate begins to question her moral obligations in light of countless medical procedures and decides to fight for the right to make decisions about her own body. A Zoom meeting invite will be sent a week before the meeting.

Baby Bookworms on Tuesdays, November 10 and 17 at 10:00 a.m.

Baby Bookworms is back virtually via Zoom! Babies and toddlers are invited to hear some books, and learn some songs, rhymes, lap bounces, and fingerplays! Please register to get the Zoom link to attend
