Chatham Library 2024 Book Sale
On Saturday, March 9 the Friends of the Library of the Chathams will hold its annual book sale, featuring over 35,000 gently used books of all kinds – children’s, teen’s, adult, rare/collectibles, as well as CDs, vinyl records, puzzles and board and video games.
The regular sale starts at 9:30 am., however, for a fee of $20 customers can get a head start by coming in at 7:30 a.m.
On Sunday, March 10 there will be a bag sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $10 a bag. The bag sale will continue from Monday, March 11 through Wednesday, March 14 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily.
There is something for everyone at the sale. The selection is amazing in all categories – fiction, history, biographies, art, classical, cookbooks and music. The children’s section is es an especially favorite one with brand new and hardly used classics and modern children’s specialties. It is a perfect place for parents and grandparents to pick up gifts, or just have fun browsing for future favorites. Giving the gift of love for reading to children is one of life’s greatest thrills. Creating a need to read is priceless, something a child has for the rest of his or her life.
The popular collectors’ corner showcases rare and collectible books as well as better children’s books and cookbooks and recent 2023 publications.
Come get some wonderful bargains and help support our library. The sale is a major fundraiser for the Friends will all proceeds going toward the purchase of more books and programming for use by our library patrons.
