Charity Glow Run for St. Jude Children’s Hospital

It was a glorious night for a walk amongst friends of Carl H. Kumpf Middle School on Thursday, October 12. The kids held a charity event in honor of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and donations of more than $850 were collected.

Over 85 participants enjoyed dancing to the beat of music around the Arthur L. Johnson High School track; special thanks to the High School Cross Country team that came out to support the charity. Also, a big thank you to the four 8th-grade students who volunteered their time to set up for the event: James Drivas, Mason Immella, Gianfranco Miraldo, and Vincent Motsay.

Everyone enjoyed the night as the lights went out and they all donned light-up glasses and bracelets sponsored by Chris Ragueso of the Clark Education Association.

We couldn’t have had everyone dancing around the track without the help from Glenn Robinson (who donated his DJ equipment) and Mr. Joseph Sortino (Kumpf’s very own Guidance Counselor) who entertained us all as Master of Ceremony for the evening.

We thank everyone for their donations! It was a wonderful sight to see the community pulling together to help a great organization such as St. Jude’s Cancer Research Center for Children.
