Friends of Brightwood Park To Kick Off Spring Nature Classes

FOBP To Kick Off Spring Nature Classes

Saturday, March 2nd, is a day synonymous with the joy of reading nationwide!

Why not celebrate Read Across America Day in one of our beautiful town parks this year with a storywalk hosted by Friends of Brightwood Park (FOBP). This marks the third annual Read Across America annual event at Brightwood, with four sessions led by certified teacher volunteers and members of the education committee of FOBP. Each page of the Dr. Seuss book, The Lorax, will be displayed along the Brightwood Park trail for a guided story time and related craft activity. It’s literacy nature and movement all in one!

The story walk is just the beginning of monthly nature classes held in the park this year. The next class takes place on March 21 to explore signs of Spring in Brightwood.
