Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County Hosts Indoor Carnival

On Wednesday, August 12th, campers geared up with cotton candy in hand and colorful face paint to conquer the Indoor Carnival at the Union Club! From carnival games, to bounce houses, camp members had a variety of activities to choose from. A friendly competitive spirit was present as members participated in water races and balloon darts, where the winners were awarded prizes. Traditional carnival foods such as pizza, cotton candy, popcorn, and juice were available in abundance for those that needed to recharge with a snack and a beverage. The day-long event left campers and counselors alike exhausted from all the excitement.
“Seeing the smiles on the faces of all the children reminds us of why we are here. The campers always have a great time at these events,” said CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County, Russell Triolo. “This day would not have been possible without our incredible staff.”
In addition to the traditional carnival games and activities, campers also enjoyed a special hypnotism show.
Board member Derrick Watkins wowed his audience with his hypnosis skills. Members of the audience eagerly volunteered to become a part of the performance and be hypnotized on stage. Thank you to all the staff members who made this exciting day possible. We cannot wait to do it all again next year!
