Madison holds annual Bottle Hill Day festival

Bottle Hill Day 2022

Madison’s annual fall festival, Bottle Hill Day, took place on Saturday, October 15.

This year marked the 47th Anniversary of this signature Madison, NJ, event. This event has continued to grow yearly since it was first established in 1974 by Mayor Elizabeth Baumgartner.

The DDC’s objective is to promote economic growth and business development so that Madison’s beautiful downtown continues to thrive. Bottle Hill Day was created in 1974 to promote the business district. The name originated from Madison’s establishment in 1715 of the village called “Bottle Hill.” Over the years, it has grown, evolving into a family, entertainment, and community celebration, which draws between 10,000 and 20,000 people to the heart of Madison every fall. This event is free and open to the public.

With the expansion a few years ago onto Kings Road, this rain-or-shine street festival spans over six blocks. It includes Family activities and rides, sidewalk sales, four stages of live music, lots of food, and a beer garden.
