Booster Club Hosts Harlem Wizards

The Arthur L. Johnson High School Crusader Athletic Booster Club recently hosted the Harlem Wizards, who played an exhibition game against the  Clark All Stars. In attendance at the packed house were coaches, players, parents and students from throughout the Clark school district. All profits went to the Crusader Athletic Booster Club, an organization that helps all athletic programs at Arthur L. Johnson High School.

Throughout the school year, the Booster Club helps Crusader Athletics in the following ways: Fall, Winter, and Spring Athletic Awards Night as well as the Senior Athletics Awards Dinner are sponsored by the Booster Club; the ALJ Wall of Fame, which honors our sports programs in the corridors of our high school, is updated and displayed each year through Booster Club funds; Senior Scholarships are given at the end of each year to numerous deserving student athletes with funds generated by the Booster Club; in addition, the Booster Club opens the Snack Shack for all home football games and any county games which ALJ sponsors. Proceeds from the Snack Shack benefit ALL sports teams at ALJ.

The game would not have been possible without the Clark All Star team, which put up a valiant effort against the Wizards. Clark All-Stars Roster included: Joe Beltramba, VRS Principal; Mallory Applebaum, FKH / VRS Vice-Principal; Jennifer Clere, Grade 1, VRS; Lauren Prost, VRS; Greg Baker, CHK; Daniel Figueroa, CHK; Thomas Riccuiti, CHK; Laura Bundy, ALJ; Lou VanBergen, ALJ; Anthony DelConte, ALJ; Christopher DiNucci, ALJ; Colleen Nemeth, ALJ; and Nancy Jogis, ALJ.
