BON VOYAGE: 200 YEARS OF LUXURY TRAVEL

Pack your suitcases and let’s take a vacation! The Chatham Historical Society will provide a program “Bon Voyage: 200 Years of Luxury Travel” presented by Hannah Gaston, Liberty Hall Museum’s Education Coordinator, on October 1.

Hannah will be our guide as we recreate several trips and luxury vacations that the esteemed Livingston and Kean families of New Jersey took between 1780 and 1950. Assisted by clues and artifacts, notes in personal diaries, letters to family members, photographs, maps, and souvenirs – Hannah will bring to life 200 years of luxury travel like you’ve never seen! Bon Voyage!

This free program will be presented on Sunday, October 1 at 4 p.m. in the Chatham Library Lundt Room. Refreshments will be served.

The program will also be available by Zoom, registration for Zoom participation at the library website: chathamlibrary.librarycalendar.com/event/bon-voyage-200-years-luxury-travel

People who register will receive the link in their confirmation email and then again in the reminder email the day before the event.
