Berkeley Heights Rotary Roars into Action

The Rotary Club of Berkeley Heights has roared into action once again. A recent meeting saw the induction of the Rotary Club’s 24th current member, and fourth to join this year, Dwayne Fraser, who is Vice President and Manager of ConnectOne Bank-Berkeley Heights. During the same meeting, the Rotary Club received a citation for the third year in a row from the International Fellowship of Scouting Rotarians for exceptional humanitarian actions and community service. The meeting also hosted fellow Rotarian Hedy Knapp, a member of the Rotary Club of Fanwood/Scotch Plains and President and Owner of Knapp Paperwork Partners in Westfield. Knapp delivered a cautionary presentation on how to protect against current insidious telephone scams and online- and phone-based identity theft.
The Berkeley Heights Rotary Club is a group of local business-people, professionals, and community leaders working to aid and strengthen our community and the world. Meetings are held at lunch time on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at The Chimney Rock Inn, located at 342 Valley Road, Gillette. Prix fixe lunches are $20 (cash or check) and all meetings are open to all visitors, always. For information visit BHRotary.com or call 908-447-6290.
