The library is now open to the public on Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Tuesday, Thursday 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. Stop in to explore the new spaces and the new self-checkout machine! Don’t forget that Tails and Tales, BHPL’s Summer Reading Program for all ages is still ongoing. Sign up at bhplnj.readsquared.com or on the READsquared app and finish logging in your reading by Friday, August 27.

The Berkeley Heights Public Library is offering the following programs in August:

Children’s story times and programs:

Paper Plate Story Time

Story and a craft for ages 3 – 5

Tuesdays, 9:30 – 10:00 a.m.

Mother Goose Time

Books, music, rhymes and play for ages 0 – 24 months

Thursdays, 9:30 – 10:00 a.m.

Take and Make Craft

Craft kits with materials, instructions, and more

Available during open hours

Good Tyme String Band

Join Ray, Len, Tom and Pete for fun Banjo sing-along for all ages

Adult programs:

Currently, the library is offering an online Book Group that meets via Zoom and discusses ebooks/e-audiobooks available from Hoopla. The selection for August is Afterlife by Julia Alvarez and the meeting dates are Friday, August 6, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. and Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 7:15 p.m.
