Award Winning Photographer Hosting Exhibition at Warren Twp. Library

An exhibition of paintings and photography by Green Brook artist Ghanshyam Patel can now be observed at SCLSNJ’s Warren Township Library branch, located at 42 Mountain Blvd. in Warren Twp., through November 30.
The 28-piece collection includes the award winning photograph “Black Faced Langur with Baby,” which was taken in the forest of Jaipur in Rajasthan in the artist’s native India. This piece was awarded first place in 1998 by Canadian magazine “Photo Life.”
“In 1946 when I was age 9 in Bombay, my father promised me whatever I wanted if I stood first or second in my class. On standing second, I became the proud owner of a brand new Agfa box camera,” said Patel.
This began Patel’s life-long love affair with art. The subjects Patel captures through his lens or on his canvas are varied, but there is a common subtlety and grace to his work.
Patel, who holds a master’s degree and various certificates and diplomas in art, has earned over 100 awards from countries around the world. His photos are regularly published in diaries, calendars, and advertisements.
