During the Summit Boosters Association Senior Athletes’ Banquet held on May 16, 2017, the 2017 Howard S. Anderson Scholarship recipients were announced.
Awards are voted on by the Summit High School varsity coaching staff. These coaches select 4 female and 4 male candidates based on the following criteria: Rank in the upper half of the class; Accepted to a 2- or 4-year college, technical, vocational or business school starting in the Fall of 2017; Have earned at least two varsity letters as a senior.
These seniors have demonstrated, through participation during their school careers in the varsity athletic program: Outstanding athletic ability; Good leadership and sportsmanship qualities; High character, a person of integrity and a responsible citizen of the community.
