Annual Grinch Day

On Tuesday December 11th, 2018 1st graders participated in the annual Grinch day. Students rotated from class to class learning various Math, Science, and Language Arts topics using a Grinch theme. For example, students learned all about carbon dioxide while making the Grinch’s heart grow 3 sizes by using baking soda and vinegar. They used their creative writing skills to write about a way to make the Grinch smile. Using their problem solving skills they solved Grinch themed math word problems. They also participated in different centers and got to have some fun “pinning the heart” on the Grinch.
