Arthur L. Johnson High School is proud to announce the Class of 2023 Valedictorian and Salutatorian. With a cumulative GPA of 4.8058, Brian Morris has earned and been awarded the title of Valedictorian. With a cumulative GPA of 4.7526, Samantha Domenick has earned and been awarded the title of Salutatorian.

Throughout his time at ALJ, Brian has been a standout member of the Marching Band, Jazz Band, and Concert Band. His natural musical abilities allowed him to flourish into a state-recognized flutist; yet, he also plays additional instruments, as well. Brian plans on majoring in Chemical Engineering at Lafayette College in the fall.

Samantha has participated in our schools’ concert bands since the fourth grade. Beginning with clarinet, she has expanded to alto, tenor, and soprano saxophone; she is now the Saxophone Section Leader of the ALJ Marching Band. Sam is an AP Scholar with Distinction, a member of several honor societies, and a devout volunteer for our Clark Library for over 5 years. Her love of the STEM field has led her to pursue a major in Packaging Engineering at Rutgers University’s School of Engineering.

Superintendent Edward Grande stated, “Brian and Samantha are most deserving of this special recognition.  Their academic successes are sure to be a springboard for much future success. We are beyond proud of them.”
