ALJ Students Receive “We Care” Scholarships

On June 7, 2018, Arthur L. Johnson High School seniors Dana Evelina, Emma Knutson, and Kaitlyn Hogan were awarded Union County School Counselors Association (UCSCA) “We Care” Awards.

Each year, the UCSCA seeks to honor conscientious and giving students and their outstanding contributions to their school, community, church, or family.

Dana Evelina, attending Union County Community College next year, was awarded a $500 scholarship for her involvement in her church and commitment to the Clark Volunteer Emergency Squad. Emma Knutson, bound for Rutgers University in the fall, was also awarded $500 in recognition of her volunteer tutoring and vocal performances. Kaitlyn Hogan, a future Monmouth University graduate, was presented with a $1,000 scholarship in honor of her commitment to raising Breast Cancer awareness.
