Spring Play – Pippin – April 7, 8 & 9

“We’ve got magic to do… in the ALJ auditorium in early April when the musical Pippin is presented onstage. Pippin, with music and lyrics by Stephan Schwartz and Robert O. Hirson, was first presented on Broadway in 1972 and was directed by Bob Fosse. The show saw a very successful revival on Broadway in 2013, and now it will be presented by the students of ALJ in Clark.
Director Peter Nevargic is extremely excited for this production to hit the stage as ALJ has not had a live musical on its boards sinceMamma Mia! in 2019. “We have revamped the auditorium with a 3-sided runway that extends 20 feet into the house. The audience will almost be able to reach up and touch the performers onstage and feel like they are a part of the show.”
Seniors who will be making their final bows on the ALJ stage include Aaron Bloom, Shannon Heaning, Josh Moreira, Bella Manto, Leo DeSantis, and Gianna Ortiz.
Be sure not to miss Pippin on Thursday April 7th, Friday April 8th and Saturday, April 9th. All shows start at 7 p.m. Ticket prices are $5 for students & senior citizens and $10 for adults and can be purchased at the door.
