The largest community art project in the world, the AIDS Memorial Quilt was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989. The Quilt tells stories and shares history. In the last 20 years, the quilt has been viewed by more than 15 million people. Come experience the beauty of the Quilt yourself on October 14th from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 1731 Church St., Rahway, NJ. Admission is free. For those interested, there is also a special AIDS Awareness Service at the same location the following day, Sunday, October 14th at 10:30.
