New Providence cares about Mental Wellness and put together a new “Mental Health Advocacy and Education Committee” spearheaded by Council President Nadine Geoffroy and Councilwoman Lisa McKnight with the goal of reducing the stigma of mental health, promoting understanding through education, advocacy, raising awareness and connecting people to resources to provide hope and help.

Lawn signs promoting mental health awareness are available for $20/each. Please email Council President Nadine Geoffroy at ngeoffroy@newprov.org. The committee also partnered with New Providence High School and handed out green ribbons to students.The downtown borough poles were also decorated with green ribbons in recognition of Mental Health Awareness.
