Please join us in February for a number of events to get us through the winter.
Speaker Series:
Wednesday, February 3: The Great Backyard Bird Count and Birding Basics. Presented by the NJ Audubon Society in Bernardsville via Zoom. 7-8 p.m. Learn how to identify common birds in our area and get ready to participate in the global citizen science project called the Great Backyard Bird Count, February 12-15.
Wednesday, February 10: A Rodin in Madison. Presented by Mallory Mortillaro via Zoom. 7-8 p.m. Ms. Mortillaro discovered a bust created by Auguste Rodin while working as a part-time archivist for the Hartley Dodge Foundation. Hear the exciting story of how she made the discovery, tracked down the provenance and what happened afterwards. Citizen science in action!
Tuesday, February 23: Starting Seeds Indoors. Presented by Rutgers Master Gardeners via Zoom. 6:30-7:30 p.m. Learn how to get an interesting and economical start on your garden this year. Learn how, why and when.
Take and Make Bags:
Monday, February 1 – Heart Books. Make a heart project with an old book in time to decorate for Valentine’s. Supplies and instructions in the bag.
Monday, February 8- Party in a Bag: Chinese New Year! Celebrate the Year of the Ox with a bag including book and movie suggestions, recipes and adult crafts and activities.
Monday, February 15: Travel in a Bag: Mars. To help get you excited about the planned Mars Lander touch-down on February 18, we will put together a selection of titles, information, and activities for you to do at home.
Monday, February 22: Travel in a Bag: Germany. Become an armchair traveler with us. First stop, Germany, just in time for Fasching, their Mardi Gras celebration. Receive everything you need to enjoy this part of Europe from home.

Monday, February 8: The Gown. Discussion via Zoom. 7 p.m.
Thursday, February 25: The Short and Tragic Life of Robert Peace. Discussion via Zoom. 10 a.m.
Friday, February 26: The Unlikely Adventures of the Shergill Sisters. Kantor Pavilion. 2 p.m. Rain or Shine. Walking and talking, social distanced and with masks.
