Thanksgiving Drive-Thru Food Collection – Nov. 7
Join Cranford United Methodist Church in helping families who need a helping hand. We are holding a drive-thru Thanksgiving Food Drive on Saturday, November 7 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the church’s parking lot.
Donations of all types of nonperishable food items will be accepted. We do ask that you might also purchase the shelf-stable versions of Thanksgiving dinner classics such as cranberry sauce, candied yams, mashed potatoes, stuffing, etc. as we seek to help provide a semblance of normalcy for families in financial distress during the upcoming holiday season.
Only bags of nonperishable items can be accepted. Place your bags in your trunk, drive up, pop your trunk and volunteers will remove them, no contact needed! Your food donations will be delivered to Cranford Family Care, St. Joseph’s Social Services and other local organizations serving people in need.
Here are some suggestions for Thanksgiving dinner donations: stuffing, canned yams, cranberry sauce, rice, applesauce, bottled gravy, broth, salt, pepper, oil, spices, salad dressing, canned green beans, French’s Crispy Fried Onion packets, pasta, pasta sauce, canned pie filling, cookies and pudding. Please double-bag to prevent breakage.
Cranford United Methodist Church’s parking lot is located next to the Cranford Library, 201 Lincoln Ave. East, Cranford.
Can’t make that date? There are bins placed outside the entrance to the church off of the parking lot where donations can be dropped any time.
