Rahway Food For Friends needs Help to End Hunger in the Community
Rahway Food For Friends is proud to acknowledge The Investors Savings Bank for its grant contribution of $500 and the FedEx Foundation for its grant contribution of $2,000 to support efforts to end hunger in the community, focusing on projects to support education, health and human services, youth programs, affordable housing and other types of community organizations or civic-minded projects that improve the quality of life around us.
Rahway Food For Friends was established in 1992 with the sole mission to feed the hungry, homeless and needy families in the community. We Feed over 260 families monthly via our food pantry. Through our partnership with RWJ Rahway Barnabas Health we are able to provide our diabetic clients diabetes education, recipes, lunch and learn sessions and more. We provide over 100 meals weekly to the families in need at our Soup Kitchen. This organization has had many great leaders, board members and volunteers to assist in these efforts. We continue to fight hunger in the community with great strides. However, we are in dire need of donations and your support. Our client base has doubled, depleting our programs funding rapidly.
