The Promotion and Enhancement committee of Long Hill Township would like to honor our veterans with flags. The flags will be displayed around the town on lampposts and poles. The flags will fly in November and in May to honor our veterans.
The committee hopes all veterans and their families will want to have their service to our country remembered.
We need a picture of the veteran in uniform, years of service, branch of the military, their birthdate and if deceased the date they died.
These flags will be used in those months to remind others of the cost of freedom and democracy.
For more information as to the cost and forms please contact Long Hill Township at Town Hall 647-8000-ex 211 or Det. Gary Bauer at the Long Hill police department non-emergency number.
The deadline for the first display in November 2017 is August 31, 2017.
