Nina Danner, resident of Green Brook, is now a New Jersey Certified Animal Control Officer. She graduated from the state certified program on Saturday May 6th, 2017. As a graduate, Officer Danner’s NJ State ACO Certification includes expertise in Animal CPR & Pet First Aid, Incident Command Systems 100 & National Incident Management 700. Danner completed her 20-hour field training with Edison Animal Shelter.
Officer Danner is a student at Seton Hall University where she studies Psychology. She is also an avid volunteer of CAPIC (Cat Adoption and Pet Information Center) cats where she is a foster mom and trapper. She is currently bottle feeding and caring for six rescue kittens. As a trapper, she specializes in the trapping of feral cats who are then neutered/spayed, vaccinated, then returned to their home with their colony. Her work for Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue includes participation at events to educate the public about the unique qualities of rabbits, and to educate rabbit owners in the care and maintenance of rabbits as pets. Danner is committed to promoting and raising awareness of rabbits as indoor companion pets.
