The RWJ Rahway Foundation will be inducting Kirk C. Tice, President & CEO, RWJ Rahway, into the Guardian of the Rose and Phillips 66 Bayway Refinery into the Order of the Rose at The 100th Anniversary Celebration Rose Ball. “The gala will be held on Saturday evening, April 16, at The Wilshire Grand in West Orange, as we celebrate the launch of the Hospital’s 100th Anniversary Celebration,” said Christine Kline, Rose Ball Chairman. She added to come dressed to impress in black tie or elegant period cocktail attire for a fun-filled evening to celebrate with our honorees.
Kirk C. Tice, President & CEO, RWJ Rahway, is the 2016 recipient of the Guardian of the Rose. For nearly four decades, Kirk has been an integral part of the Hospital, serving as President & CEO since 1994. Through an ever-changing healthcare environment, Mr. Tice’s strong leadership and deep commitment to the Hospital and health and wellness of the community has never wavered.
He began his Hospital career at the bedside as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, moving to Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, Manager Respiratory Therapy, Director of Business Development/Clinical Services, Vice President of Clinical Services and Senior Vice President of Administration.
Phillips 66 Bayway Refinery in Linden, NJ is the 2016 recipient of the Order of the Rose for their long history of support of RWJ Rahway. They are the American Beauty Rose Sponsor of the gala. The Bayway Refinery has operated for more than a century and is one of the largest refineries on the East Coast, processing crude oil into a variety of products such as gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, home heating oil, propane, butane, and fuel oil, as well as many familiar consumer goods from our world-scale polypropylene (plastics) plant.
Phillips 66 prides itself on being a responsible citizen, and the Bayway Refinery invests in local communities through charitable contributions, community engagement, volunteerism, sponsorships, and civic leadership. The Bayway Refinery has been a community partner with RWJ Rahway for several decades, and has provided generous financial assistance towards various projects including: Cardiac Unit Renovation, Operating Room Ureteroscope, Hospital Technology Fund, White Boards for Patient Health and Recovery Plan, Cardiac Catheterization Lab Project, Emergency Department Stretcher Replacement Project, Wheelchair Replacement & Safety Improvement Project, and Replacement Paramedic Mobile and Portable Radios.
Bayway Refinery employees have volunteered over the years and served on the RWJ Rahway Hospital Board and the Rose Ball Committee. The Hospital is grateful for their continued dedication and philanthropic support.
“The Rose Ball Committee is planning another successful event, and is fortunate to have our long-time Chairman, Christine Kline, in the lead,” said Marlene Lubinger, Foundation President.
Proceeds from the gala will benefit the renovation and refurbishment of patient units and services at RWJ Rahway, and help the hospital fulfill its century old mission to provide the quality and safe healthcare services our patients need and deserve.
