On September 29th the Linden Fire Department held its annual Fire Prevention Night. Not even the inclement weather could dampen the fun had by all. The night is made possible by generous corporate donations by Nustar Energy and Phillips 66 Bayway Refinery. The night’s activities consisted of smoke house trailer, an extrication demonstration, fire hose tryout, and a display of the department’s apparatus. In addition to the fire departments free handouts and hot dogs, Linden 911 Dispatchers and Linden OEM were in attendance. At the end of the night 4 bicycles and gift cards, donated by Nustar Energy, Walmart, Applebee’s and AMC Movie Theater were raffled off to the children that attended the fire prevention night. The bicycle winners were Armas Mikulenas, Juliet Marie Burnet and Hemi Petro.
